The Journey
The Trough is officially approaching it’s 4th year in business this 2025 season and they’ve got some MASSIVE news for y’all….a new badass owner. Just to catch you up, if you haven’t been following the trailers journey (uhumm do it now @thetroughreno) Karlee and Luke decided to sell The Trough after the 2024 season to endeavor on their next big idea. BUT they didn’t just let anyone buy it. They wanted to make sure whoever bought it could “level up” - Beyonce .

Without further ado, Annika Nichols. Annie has been a bartender for over 10 years throughout the Reno area and has ample experience in hospitality and event bartending. If she isn’t mixing drinks, she is tending to her animals. She’s the real deal and we are lucky to have someone like her taking it over.
The New Crew
Hi everyone. Annika and Jon here taking over the most unique horse trailer bar near you. We are so excited to continue this little legacy Karlee started. A little about us. We met years ago. One of those perfect situations bad timing things. Our roads separated for a while, but as some people would say fate brought us back together. One of those moments you randomly run into each other again and you just know. I guess timing was on our side this time. Fast forward here we are making all our dreams come true. We are ecstatic to of had the opportunity to buy this cute horse trailer bar and put our little twist on it. Keeping the name of course. We loved The Trough name; it reminds us of all the troughs we endlessly fill on our hobby farm that we’ve continued to grow and love.
